Second base event of the DFDDA e.V.
Quantitative methods in auditing, tax consulting and internal reviewing are the topics which will be discussed at the second base event of the Deggendorfer Forum for Digital Data Analysis (DFDDA e.V.).
The event shall take place in cooperation with DATEV eG on 7 June 2010 at the University of Deggendorf.
With the motto: "Opportunities and restrictions of quantitative methods in auditing/tax consulting and internal reviewing", the focus this year is on the critical examination of figure analyses and mathematical/statistical methods. According to the DFDDA, success when using these methods is more likely when the restrictions are known.
The use of digital examination methods and the multitude of tools available often give the impression that solutions can be found simply by the touch of a button. The sophisticated technology available is surely one of the driving forces behind the fact that digital examination methods are starting to enjoy more and more popularity. However, this should not make us blind towards the basic assumptions and the associated chances and restrictions of these methods.
